Throughout the 2000s, Maybach represented a level of luxurious opulence in the automotive industry that was previously unprecedented, quickly becoming a staple among luxury collectors and a pop culture icon. However, the brand was transformed in the 2010s when it fell under the Mercedes-Benz umbrella as Mercedes-Maybach, pivoting to transforming models within the Mercedes-Benz lineup with Maybach levels of luxury. At the top of the lineup is the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, an ultra-luxurious sedan that offers a V12 under the hood, along with a suite of incredibly luxurious design touches and features.
That flagship model has now undergone its most extensive update yet, as Mercedes-Benz has given the S-Class a thorough update for the 2027 model year. While new technology makes the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class the most advanced it’s been in the model’s history, some important features remain like the inclusion of a V12 engine, and its graceful, elegant design.
Celebrating 140 years since the invention of the automobile, Mercedes-Benz is updating its Maybach S-Class at a historic milestone, revising the design of its ultimate luxury flagship with touches like a larger grille with an illuminated surround, new wheel designs with a floating Mercedes-Benz star, an illuminated Mercedes-Benz star on the hood, and Maybach emblem on the C-pillar, and rose gold accents throughout.

Meanwhile, the integration of the new MB.OS system makes it the most technologically advanced Mercedes-Maybach S-Class yet, and a newly designed suspension evolves the car’s comfort to new heights.
Inside, the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is pushing the limits of Maybach luxury, with available power rear doors, silver-plated champagne flutes, new wood finishes, a new MBUX High-End rear seat entertainment system, and the MANUFAKTUR Made To Measure program that offers the option to make each car truly bespoke.
