The 2026 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge Is Underway

The challenge continues to breathe new life into classic Porsches.

The Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge is now entering its sixth year, and the growth of the competition has been exciting to witness. Over the years, more cars have become eligible to enter the contest, and a steadily growing number of dealerships across Porsche Cars North America’s network have brought their talent and creativity to the contest.

This year, the regional competitions are set to take place from summer to early fall, with Area West’s competition set for the Werks Reunion during Monterey Car Week, Area South-Central at Artomobilia in Carmel, IN, and Area East at the Audrain Newport Concours in Newport, RI on October 2–3. The national championship is set to take place in October.

Three categories will continue to be present in the competition: Preservation, Restoration, and Individualization. Last year saw a record number of 73 entries, and the national champions were crowned at the Luftgekühlt 11 event in Durham, North Carolina, which included air and water-cooled 911 examples, as well as a Transaxle model.

As the Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge continues to grow, more dealers like winners Porsche Bend, Porsche North Houston, Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas, and Harper Porsche will hopefully lend their mechanical and creative expertise to reviving Porsches in need of TLC, preserving the rich legacy and history of the brand, and giving classic models an individualized twist. As the 2026 challenge gets underway, Porsche’s incredible lexicon of classics are soon to be in the limelight.
