The New Porsche Cayenne S Electric Combines Performance & Efficiency

Porsche’s all-electric SUV lineup continues to expand.

The new Porsche Cayenne Electric is Porsche’s third all-electric model, coming after the Porsche Taycan and the Porsche Macan Electric, and it is also the second all-electric SUV to wear the Porsche crest. However, more than that, the Porsche Cayenne introduced a suite of groundbreaking EV technology and engineering, like being the most powerful production Porsche yet in its top spec, and introducing the capability to wirelessly charge in the near future.

However, Porsche isn’t done yet, as the Cayenne Electric’s own range of trim levels is still expanding with the introduction of the new 2026 Porsche Cayenne S Electric. With all-electric all-wheel drive, the new Cayenne S Electric boasts an impressive 536 horsepower, with Porsche saying the new model balances performance with efficiency. With launch control, that power figure climbs to 657 horsepower.

Compared to the standard Cayenne Electric, the new Cayenne S has 221 more horsepower, and can get from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Using the same kind of high-tech battery as the other Porsche Cayenne Electric models, the Cayenne S can also charge from 10 to 80 percent in as little as 16 minutes.

Specific design elements set the Cayenne S apart, as well, including Volcano Grey fascia pieces, specific 20-inch wheels, and more. The vehicle’s handling benefits from optional Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Porsche Active Ride suspension, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus. With a starting MSRP of $126,300, not including delivery, processing, and handling of $2,350, the new Porsche Cayenne S Electric is available to order now as a new option for those who want a practical, powerful, luxurious, and stylish all-electric Porsche SUV. Deliveries are expected to begin at the end of the summer of 2026.
