A new heritage edition for the American supercar is on its way.
On Ford Performance’s Instagram account, two teaser images of the new Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition were posted. If you aren’t familiar with Alan Mann Racing, they were the team behind two experimental 1966 Ford GT40 race cars. The examples built by Alan Mann Racing were incredibly lightweight thanks to a long list of modifications that allowed the race car to shed pounds. The GT40 Alan Mann Lightweight prototypes feature a livery that consists of a red body with two gold stripes that are flanked by white stripes. There’s also a stripe that goes over the front right wheel arch. As you can see in these teaser images, the new Ford GT replicates this livery to a tee. As for the full reveal, we will just have to wait on that.
