For Mercedes-Benz, 2024 was a year of growth.
It’s now 2025, and with the previous year finished, Mercedes-Benz USA has officially summed up its sales results for the year, and has success to report, both for the fourth quarter of 2024, and for the full year. Compared to 2023, the most recent results represented growth and success for the diverse range of luxury vehicles that Mercedes-Benz offers.
During the fourth quarter, the 88,259 passenger vehicles sold by Mercedes-Benz USA represent an increase of eight percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2023. Meanwhile, the full-year number of 324,528 units sold makes for an impressive nine-percent increase compared to the 2023 number. Mercedes-Benz’s year-end reporting also breaks down this number by specific segments, some of which showed impressive growth that spells the future trajectory of the historic luxury manufacturer.
Sales of plug-in hybrid models increased by a massive 470 percent in Q4 2024 compared to Q4 2023, thanks to the introduction of a wide range of plug-in models including high-performance plug-in hybrids. The Top End segment (including the G-Class, AMG lineup, and the Maybach lineup) saw a 52-percent increase during the quarter, with AMG specifically enjoying a record quarter, with 16,169 units sold marking a 50% increase. Year-over-year, the Core segment saw an 18-percent increase, while the Entry segment saw a two-percent increase.
With an increase across the board in sales for the fourth quarter of 2024 and for the entire year, Mercedes-Benz has demonstrated that its diverse and evolving lineup has proven successful in the United States market, and that 2025 is exciting and promising for the brand.
