Porsche has been teasing the all-electric Cayenne for over two years. Following the Macan Electric and the Taycan, this step represents the biggest leap in the Cayenne lineage since the original model took the performance SUV segment mainstream more than twenty years ago. Development prototypes have logged thousands of miles across ice, desert, and mountain proving grounds, and the vehicle has made early public appearances at Goodwood and in controlled media features. Now the wait is over.
The 2026 Porsche Cayenne Electric launches as part of a new diversified lineup that continues to offer gas and hybrid models well into the next decade. Porsche confirms a flexible drivetrain strategy across the Cayenne lineup, giving you real choice depending on use case. At launch, the all-electric Cayenne family begins with two models: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric.

Performance sits at the center of the story. The Turbo Electric produces 1,140 horsepower and up to 1,107 pound-feet of torque using Launch Control and Push to Pass. It accelerates from zero to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 162 mph. In standard driving mode, it delivers 857 horsepower with an additional 176 horsepower available in ten-second bursts. It is the most powerful production Porsche ever built.
Energy regeneration technology draws directly from Porsche’s Formula E program. Recuperation capability reaches up to 600 kW, and roughly 97 percent of routine braking can rely on electric regeneration rather than mechanical friction. That increases efficiency, consistency, and response on demanding roads or track environments.

The 113 kWh battery supports up to 400 kW DC fast charging. Under optimal conditions, charging from 10 to 80 percent takes less than sixteen minutes, and ten minutes of charging can provide approximately 202 miles of range. The estimated WLTP range on the European cycle is up to 399 miles for the Cayenne Electric and 387 miles for the Turbo. The Caynne Electric also supports wireless charging.
Design-wise, it is unmistakably a Cayenne. Key elements include a low hood profile, slim Matrix LED headlights, pronounced fenders, the signature Porsche flyline roof arc, frameless doors, and a full-width 3D rear light bar with illuminated Porsche lettering. Active aerodynamic components contribute to a 0.25 drag coefficient, positioning the Cayenne Electric among the most efficient SUVs aerodynamically.

Inside, Porsche Driver Experience introduces the brand’s largest display environment: a curved OLED Flow Display at the center, a 14.25-inch instrument cluster, and an optional 14.9-inch passenger screen with native streaming and gaming. A head-up display with AR graphics is available.
As for utility, Cargo space measures 27.5 to 56 cubic feet plus a 3.1 cubic foot frunk. Tow capacity reaches 7,700 pounds. An off-road package increases approach angle and ride height. This is our initial preview focused on core highlights. We will bring you more exclusive coverage of the new all-electric Cayenne from Icons of Porsche 2025, happening this weekend in Dubai.
