Porsche shows off Sonderwunsch’s incredible abilities.
Through the Sonderwunsch program, Porsche can make its most unique creations yet mesmerizing fans with one-of-a-kind commissions that go the extra mile to evoke an owner’s personality or tell a story. At this year’s Fuori Concorso 2024 event on Lake Como, Italy, Porsche brought a stunning Sonderwunsch commission that exemplified the event’s “British Racing Green” theme.
The commission was an example of the Porsche 911 Turbo S, and it’s finished with head-turning Urban Bamboo paintwork, with the ultra-exclusive Chromaflair finish, which uses five coats of paint, with ultra-thin pigments in the top coat to make the color appear different when viewed from different angles. Chromaflair paint is among the exclusive Porsche options and is available in Python Green, Magic Magenta, Shifting Carbon, and Explosive Gold. Other exclusive details include the interior’s unique stitching and multicolor leather, and striping details outside.
The configuration was inspired by one of four Porsche 959 examples created as a bespoke customer commission by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s predecessor in the late 1980s. With the breadth of Exclusive Manufaktur’s abilities today, Porsche has doubled its range of customization options since 2012, with over 1,000 additional options across all the manufacturer’s model lines.
The 911 Turbo S’s bespoke excellence and beauty caught the attention of Guglielmo Miani, head of Larusmiani, who established the Fuori Concorso event and bought the car after a consultation at Porsche’s home of Zuffenhausen. With a long history of incredible cars to use as historical references and a larger catalog of unique options than ever before, Sonderwunsch is the pinnacle of Porsche’s bespoke artisan excellence.
