Born on the track, the Valkyrie proves its worth.
The Aston Martin Valkyrie just smashed the production car lap record at Silverstone GP, clocking a blistering time of 1 minute 56.42 seconds. That’s more than 10 seconds faster than any road-legal car before it. With its Formula One-inspired design, including 2,425lbs of downforce and a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 that revs to an insane 11,100 rpm, the Valkyrie brings serious racing DNA to the track. Behind the wheel was Darren Turner, Aston Martin’s veteran test driver, who safely piloted the hypercar’s handling and speed even on less-than-ideal track conditions. Equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and a carbon-fiber monocoque, the Valkyrie proved its worth as Aston Martin’s pinnacle of performance.
What makes the Valkyrie special is how it bridges the gap between street and track. Designed in partnership with Formula One legend Adrian Newey, the Valkyrie combines extreme aerodynamics and an ultra-lightweight structure with road-ready usability. It even handles over 3.3 g in the corners, delivering an experience that’s hard to believe is legal outside a racetrack. Turner called it mind-blowing, and he’s not wrong. This aims to redefine what a road car can do. Whether it’s the Valkyrie’s sharp reflexes or the roar of that V12, this hypercar is truly in a league of its own.
