Alfa Romeo is known for its stylish and spirited lineup of Italian cars, and this year, the mix has proven successful in several countries, where the manufacturer has reported growth in the first half of 2026. While it’s not sold in the United States, the new Alfa Romeo Junior is proving to be a major contributor to the brand’s global success, alongside the brand’s expansion into new markets and ramped-up activations.
Countries where Alfa Romeo experienced growth in the first half of 2026 included the United Kingdom, which grew 24 percent in sales, Japan, which grew an impressive 95 percent, and Mexico, which grew by 90 percent. For the brand, Italy, France, and Germany are still the main markets.
The Alfa Romeo Junior, sold in 45 countries, has quickly become the best-selling Alfa Romeo. Available as a BEV and as a hybrid, its BEV mix of 16 percent proves Alfa Romeo’s ability to sell electric vehicles while maintaining its sporty, Italian, driver-focused brand identity. Along with the Junior, the Stelvio, Giulia, and Tonale also contribute significantly to the brand’s recent success. The Giulia and Stelvio are due to remain on sale until 2027, including the high-performance Quadrifoglio variants.
