Aston Martin and Glenfiddich Launch a Limited-Edition 28-Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Aston Martin’s longstanding history as both an automotive visionary and a motorsport powerhouse is a noteworthy part of its legacy, but its status as a proud British marque continues to drive the passion behind its engineering. Its love for the country it calls home extends well outside the walls of Gaydon Headquarters, opening its doors to other renowned British brands like Glenfiddich and sparking creative collaborations with a strong focus on heritage. Adding to an ongoing collection of limited-edition bottles, celebrating a partnership that began at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2024, Aston Martin and Glenfiddich just launched Glenfiddich 28 Years Old.As the name suggests, the whisky has spent nearly three decades in casks, with Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman bringing together several different oak influences to create the final product. The whisky starts inside American oak, followed by a second period in virgin American oak that brings out vanilla and spice notes. European oak Oloroso sherry-seasoned casks add even more flavor, while traditional ex-bourbon casks contribute orchard fruit notes that Glenfiddich is known for.Aston Martin's design team worked with Glenfiddich on the packaging, which features Podium Green, copper accents and the distillery's familiar stag emblem. The design takes inspiration from the flowing bodywork on Aston Martin supercars and hypercars, tying the two brands together through British heritage. There's also history behind the timing of it all. When the whisky was first put into casks in the late 1990s, Aston Martin was working on Project Vantage, the concept that eventually led to the Vanquish, while the V12-powered DB7 Vantage was making way for a new era. Glenfiddich 28 Years Old will be available in January 2027 in the United States and select international airports. All Aston Martin Inventory Source: Aston Martin
