Bugatti has unveiled the La Maison Pur Sang Veyron 20 Years, a one-off Veyron restored and reworked through its La Maison Pur Sang programme. Unveiled at Pebble Beach, the project marks 20 years since the model entered production. Developed jointly with its owner, the car demonstrates the programme's expanding ability to reimagine existing Bugattis.
Finished in Rouge Rembrandt over Petrol Blue, it uses two exterior colors previously unavailable on the Veyron. Rouge Rembrandt was developed for the Tourbillon, while Petrol Blue comes from the Chiron palette. Bugatti has also developed larger wheels that reinterpret the Veyron's original Machiavelli design. Measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, they allow the car to use Chiron-sized tires. New three-dimensional mesh replaces the original treatment of the front, side, and rear air intakes.
Inside, the Magnolia leather cabin features Mocassin stitching on the steering wheel and gear selector, while a 20 Years of Veyron emblem sits between the seats. The center console is finished with Côte de Genève, the striped decoration commonly used on mechanical watch movements. Bugatti says applying the finish to such a large, three-dimensional automotive surface presented a significant technical challenge
The detail follows Bugatti's wider use of watchmaking references, including the V16-powered Tourbillon's mechanical instrument cluster and the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak fitted to an earlier one-off.
The Veyron itself was conceived under Volkswagen Group chairman Ferdinand Piëch, who pushed Bugatti to develop a production car with more than 1,000 metric horsepower and a top speed above 400 km/h (248 mph). Its 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 went on to power the Veyron, becoming the fastest production car in the world. The W16 also powered the Chiron and its derivatives, with the final Mistral closing out the French marque’s glorious 16-cylinder era after two decades.

"The Veyron is one of the most important cars in Bugatti history, and any adjustment to that original, legendary formula must begin with respect. With the La Maison Pur Sang program, we are preserving the essence of each Bugatti, while giving owners the opportunity to bring a new dimension of personal expression to their car and bring an automotive icon into new light." - Frank Heyl, Bugatti's director of design.
La Maison Pur Sang was launched at Rétromobile in 2020 to authenticate, preserve and restore historic Bugattis. Previous projects have included the restoration of a pre-series Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition and the documentation of Veyron chassis 5.1, one of six pre-production cars. The latest project shows the programme extending beyond restoration into factory-backed modification.
La Maison Pur Sang sits alongside Bugatti's two other bespoke programmes. Programme Solitaire is its coachbuilding arm, limited to two cars annually and responsible for one-offs including Brouillard seen at the Quail last year, the Piëch-inspired F.K.P. Hommage and the Bolide-based Destrier also shown at the Quail at Monterey Car Week 2026. Sur Mesure personalizes production models through bespoke colors, materials and finishes, with recent commissions including the W16 Mistral La Perle Rare.
Bugatti has also launched a Veyron configurator offering select features from the project to other owners, giving the 450 Veyrons built between 2005 and 2015 a new factory-supported route for restoration and personalization.
