Pristine and Rare 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina ...

At the Paris Motor Show in 2000, Ferrari unveiled the incredibly stylish 550 Barchetta Pininfarina model. This new model was created to celebrate Pininfarina's 70 anniversary, a momentous event that deserves and equally momentous car. It's easy to see that the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina delivered in its celebratory status. This model was designed to be a true barchetta, featuring no convertible top whatsoever, aside from a cloth top that could be used as temporary protection from the rain. The astounding sleekness of the car was made possible by a few very important modifications when compared to the standard Ferrari 550. While the front fascia and hood are carried over from the standard 550 coupe, the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina has a winshield with more rake. This simple change gives this Ferrari a lower profile and aids in the exterior's aerodynamic. In the rear is a more elongated section that provides more storage than the coupe and adds to the previously mentioned sleekness of the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina. The Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina's exterior is surely a pleasure to look at, and its interior follows suit. Leather seats with large bolsters cradle the passengers, keeping them in place no matter how sharp of a turn this Ferrari is taking. A gated six-speed manual transmission rests in the center console where each 550 Barchetta Pininfarina also features a numbered plaque that signifies its production number. While 444 examples of the Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina were planned, the Italian automaker ended up creating 448 due to superstitious concerns from the Japanese market regarding the number 4. For sale right now at Speedart Motorsport is a pristine example of the 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina. It sports the iconic Rosso Corsa paint finish over a Nero leather interior. Carbon fiber on the steering wheel, shift knob, center console blends with the black interior and adds a sporty touch to the classic roadster. This example is No. 13 out of the 448 production run, which is signified on the center console plaque. Coming with the car is the soft top in its carrying bag, as well as the original tool bag. From the exterior to the interior and even the engine bay, this Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina is in absolutely exquisite condition. It's for sale right now at Speedart Motorsports with just 4,862 miles on its odometer. If you're looking for a true collector's car that's concours-ready, look no further.
