Known for its charming and classic-inspired sports cars, Morgan Motor Company is at a turning point in its long history, unveiling a new cohort of vehicles that has evolved its presence as a brand. Those include the new Plus Four, the bespoke and highly exclusive Midsummer and Midsummer Coupe, and the latest Supersport 400, the most powerful Morgan production model yet.
Powered by a BMW B58 turbocharged six-cylinder engine, the new Morgan Supersport 400 is the first production Morgan to exceed 400 horsepower, and it takes full advantage of Morgan’s CXV aluminum platform to be the most driver-focused and engaging Morgan sports car yet. Unfortunately, the new Supersport 400 is not available in the United States, but for the rest of the world, the new flagship is available to order now, and the first customer examples are completing production.
Demonstrator vehicles are arriving at global Morgan retailers, and deliveries of the first customer examples of the new Morgan Supersport 400 are on the horizon. The start of deliveries for the new Morgan flagship comes after an intense validation and testing cycle, including a drive from Morgan’s Malvern, England, headquarters to the Faroe Islands. The route took the classic-inspired sports car across the UK, Mainland Europe, and the North Atlantic region, subjecting it to various climates, driving conditions, and challenges, ranging from long highway stretches to winding mountain and coastal roads.
