Morgan Motor Company has long been known for its classic-inspired sports cars that combine spirited driving character with charming looks and artisan craftsmanship, but it has recently entered a bold new era as a manufacturer. Working with legendary design house Pininfarina, Morgan created the exclusive, bespoke Midsummer barchetta, and recently unveiled an even more exclusive Midsummer Coupe. In addition, a new generation of Morgan sports cars has risen, and the flagship of the latest Morgan cohort is the Supersport.

The most performance-focused Morgan in the current lineup, the Supersport has now become available to order in the United States. Initially unveiled in 2025, the new Morgan Supersport is powered by a US-certified BMW B46 TwinPower Turbo engine, which is paired to an 8-speed automatic ZF transmission.

The US debut of the new Morgan Supersport will take place at one of Monterey Car Week’s most prestigious events: The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. In its announcement, Morgan Motor Company says that production of US-spec Supersport examples will begin in August, with deliveries set to begin in September. Under 100 build slots remain for the 2026 model year.

Built on Morgan’s new advanced CXV-generation bonded aluminum platform, the new Supersport comes alongside a new Morgan Plus Four, which returned to the market in 2024, alongside the ultra-exclusive Midsummer barchetta and its Midsummer Coupe counterpart. The design of the Supersport, and Morgan’s other recent models, reflects the company’s ethos of “21st Century Coachbuilding,” combining cutting-edge technology and driver-focused engineering with the same design principles and timeless aesthetic that Morgan can trace back to its first four-wheeled model in 1936.

About the car’s arrival to the United States market, Jonathan Wells, Chief Design Officer at Morgan Motor Company, said, "The arrival of Supersport in the United States marks an important moment for Morgan. It allows us to introduce our vision of 21st Century Coachbuilding to a new audience, bringing together contemporary design, traditional craftsmanship and advanced engineering in a flagship that is unmistakably Morgan.”

Continuing a near 100-year legacy, as the Supersport nameplate has been used by Morgan since 1927, the Supersport’s US presence is a triumph for enthusiasts and Morgan alike. With its debut at The Quail, a new chapter of Morgan’s celebrated history will be opened.
