The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, alongside the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, ushered in a new era of hybridized hypercars.
While its electrification undoubtedly drew doubt nine years ago, today, its approach to speed is more widely adopted by cars like the McLaren Artura and Ferrari 296 GTB. So it’s safe to say that, like its rivals at the time, the 918 was, in many ways, ahead of its time.
Today, we’re listing a bright Mexico Blue example with a contrasting black leather interior with Acid Green accents throughout. It’s powered by a 4.6-liter V8 and two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 887 hp. It sends power to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Flat out, it’ll reach 60 mph in 2.5 seconds before continuing onto an electronically limited top speed of 214 mph.
Given its low mileage, this example is in excellent condition and would be a great addition to any Porsche collection.
Throughout its 21-month production run, Porsche produced just 918 units of its electrified hypercar.
