The Morgan Motor Company, renowned for keeping the spirit of the quintessential British roadster alive in the modern age, is putting a spotlight on its American expansion this weekend. If you are enthusiastic about classic sports cars from across the pond and are in and around Long Island, this might be your best chance yet to experience the brand up close.
On Saturday, September 13, Morgan will showcase the Plus Four and Super 3 at The Bridge IX in Bridgehampton, New York. The appearance will also mark the official East Coast debut of the Plus Four. Set to be hosted at The Bridge golf club, the event has become one of the most exclusive in the United States, with some of the rarest and most prominent vehicles in the world on display.
The Plus Four carries one of Morgan’s longest-running nameplates, and this latest version shows why it continues to endure. Announced for the U.S. in November 2024, it began arriving at dealerships in spring 2025, making its American debut at Monterey Car Week last month.
This latest expansion centers around Morgan Long Island, the company’s new dealership operated by Autosport Designs, Inc. Located just 30 miles east of New York City, it will provide both sales and after-sales support. For buyers in the region, this does away with the need to travel across the country to test drive or service a Morgan.

Speaking about this development, Chief Marketing Officer of Morgan Motor Company, Toby Blyth, said, “It’s incredibly exciting for Morgan to return to The Bridge, an event that has established itself as a true celebration of automotive culture and design. It’s even more exciting to be here showcasing Plus Four for the first time on the East Coast, alongside Super 3, which made its U.S. debut at this event two years ago. We are equally proud to be working with Autosport Designs to establish Morgan Long Island, a partnership that reflects our commitment to growing Morgan’s presence in the United States.
Tom Papadopoulos of Autosport Designs further emphasized the value of the collaboration: “We are proud to be working with such a special marque as Morgan to establish Morgan Long Island. For us, this represents not only the opportunity to bring Morgan’s distinctive range of sports cars to our region, but also to deliver the dedicated sales and aftersales service that customers deserve.
As for the Plus Four itself, subtle but meaningful updates bring modern embellishments both inside and out. It continues to refine and build upon the car’s familiar old-school aesthetic. While the bespoke coach-built body with exquisite design details is are highlight of every Morgan, performance remains faithful to this sports car’s character with a BMW-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 255 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque that either pairs with the 6-speed manual (not available in the U.S.) or a ZF-8-speed automatic.
Performance is brisk with the dash to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph, in a package that tips the scales at just 2,233 pounds. Suspension updates improve ride quality, and for more spirited drivers, an optional Dynamic Handling Pack developed with Nitron introduces adjustable dampers, springs, and a rear anti-roll bar. These changes make the latest Plus Four the sharpest yet without losing its analog soul.
Also, Morgan’s boutique nature sets it apart from rivals. Where other marques like TVR and Wiesmann also tried to tap into this old-school meets modern space, neither achieved Morgan’s longevity. With only a handful of U.S. outlets and production limited to a few hundred cars annually, Morgan’s exclusivity remains intact. That scarcity, combined with its evolving design and engineering, has carved out a loyal following that continues to grow.
With orders already being placed for deliveries slated for spring 2026, the Long Island location is coming online at a pivotal moment for the British marque. Apart from the flagship SuperSport, the Plus Four and Super 3 complete the lineup. The company’s expansion will ensure more American enthusiasts will have access to the Morgan brand.
