It’s been a long time since a four-wheeled Morgan was available in the US.
Morgan is known for its classic-inspired British sports cars, made with old-school techniques, an antique aesthetic, luxurious materials, and fun-to-drive character. However, American Morgan customers have recently only been able to get their hands on the three-wheeled Morgan models, but after a homologation process that entailed five years, Morgan is now proudly announcing that its four-wheeled Plus Four model is now available in the United States.
The introduction of the Plus Four to the US market marks the fist time that a four-wheeled Morgan has been available in the states since 2005, and it is available to order through 12 Morgan dealerships across the country. The latest Morgan Plus Four is based on CX-Generation aluminium platform, combining the latest innovation and engineering with classic-inspired artisan craftsmanship.
Powered by a BMW-derived 2.0-liter engine with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, the latest Morgan Plus Four is the latest evolution of Morgan’s longest-running nameplate, with the first Plus Four being introduced in 1950. For the United States, the new Morgan Plus Four is a left-hand drive model. Morgan’s “Bespoke As Standard” configurability gives customers a wide array of colors and finishes to equip the new Plus Four with, which carries a starting MSRP of $84,995.
