Morgan prepares to enter a new era with an upcoming flagship.
Known for its traditional craftsmanship, as well as its vintage-inspired design cues, Morgan has a compelling lineup vehicles that are celebrated among enthusiasts for their uniqueness and driver-focused appeal. However, Morgan is on the cusp of entering a new era as a manufacturer of classic-inspired British sports cars, as it recently announced the discontinuation of its iconic Plus Six flagship, which will be capped off by an exclusive run of Plus Six Pinnacle special edition examples.
However, while it won’t be a direct replacement or successor to the Plus Six, the new Morgan performance flagship is on the horizon, with the model and the new platform that underpins it in the final stages of development, with a targeted launch for spring. The new model will be based on a new “CXV” platform, and it will be powered by a BMW-derived six-cylinder turbocharged engine.
While the design of the new flagship has not been fully revealed yet, the new Morgan flagship promises to retain the antique-inspired charm and signature design characteristics of Morgan’s cherished lineup. Slated to be positioned at the top of the Morgan lineup like the Plus Six was before it, the new Morgan flagship is a new chapter for a storied British manufacturer.
