Morgan Motor Company has expanded its lineup with the Supersport 400, a new flagship that builds directly on the Supersport introduced in March last year. Renowned for keeping the spirit of the quintessential British roadster alive in the modern age, that earlier reveal marked a turning point for Morgan’s six-cylinder platform. The Supersport 400 now pushes it further, delivering a measurable increase in performance while aligning with the brand’s broader global growth.
With 402 horsepower, it becomes the first production Morgan to exceed the 400 hp mark. This not only makes it the most powerful Morgan to date, but in a lightweight sub-2,500-pound package, puts its performance on par with most supercars. Power comes from BMW’s latest B58 ‘O1’ turbocharged inline-six, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a 0 to 62 mph achieved in 3.6 seconds. It also builds on Morgan’s 25-year technical partnership with BMW, a relationship that continues to shape the brand’s engineering direction.
As with any Morgan, driver engagement remains central to the Supersport 400. The standard Dynamic Handling Pack introduces adjustable Nitron dampers with 24 settings, revised suspension geometry, and model-specific calibration. The chassis maintains composure while delivering clear feedback through the steering, allowing precise control across varying road conditions.
Optional upgrades include a limited-slip differential to improve traction and a newly developed Active Performance Exhaust that enhances the six-cylinder’s character. Forged 19-inch Sportlite wheels reduce unsprung mass, while Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires provide consistent grip at higher speeds.

We are immensely proud of Supersport 400. It stands at the pinnacle of our range and reflects the progress we are making as a business. It demonstrates how we can evolve our platform to increase capability in a way that remains distinctly Morgan — defined by handcrafted construction, human engagement in the driving experience, and a commitment to delivering pure driving joy - Matthew Hole, Managing Director, Morgan Motor Company
Design updates include new front wing vents that improve airflow and cooling, while revised lower bodywork increases contrast between aluminum surfaces and technical elements.
Four new satin paint finishes, Forged Grey, Silk Silver, Sail Silver, and Horizon Blue, expand the exterior palette, with optional coral accents available across brake calipers, graphics, and interior details. Wheel finishes can be specified in mid-silver or optional bronze, while bespoke paint requests remain available.
Inside, Alcantara and full leather configurations introduce a more tactile environment, supported by bespoke stitching, marquetry veneers, and Caerbont-built analog dials that combine traditional design with modern CAN and LIN technology. An optional anodized aluminum gear selector adds a precise mechanical interface that reinforces the car’s performance focus.
What continues to set Morgan apart today: coach-built production, lightweight construction, and a driving experience centered on mechanical connection. The Supersport 400 continues to build on that and arrives at a time when Morgan has strengthened its presence in key markets, like the United States.
The Plus Four made its East Coast debut on Long Island in September last year, a car that we subsequently reviewed that same month. That momentum continued with the 75th Anniversary Plus Four commissions made available to U.S. clients later that year. Last month, Morgan completed the final example of its 1-of-50 Midsummer build, closing a limited-run program that emphasized craftsmanship and exclusivity.
Each Supersport 400 is coach-built, with U.K. pricing starting at £112,965 before taxes. Production begins in May, positioning the model as a clear evolution of the Supersport and a defining step in Morgan’s performance roadmap.
